1) KS Compound: grip comes up as the tire heats up and is ideally suited for longer sessions.
2) KS-M Compound: has more initial grip but tends to fade and be inconsistent when running longer sessions. Ideal for tracks in cooler climates.
When it comes to running fast tires with grip from the get-go, look no further than the proven KSM Rear Tires. If you are not sure between running a slick tire (ideally prepared and clean track) or a full tread tire (like the KSM Radials 224 or 230), then this is the tire for you. The Type F. It's a great in-between tire for racers where the track conditions are changing.
