Houston RC Micro Servo - HRC06

In our quest to find the best servo for our 1/28 racers, we tested multiple servos. Our testers ranged from average club racers to National level A-Main racers. In the end, we settled on - what we'd call the best servo in the market currently for 1/28 scale kits. The HRC06 - a servo built with AGF-RC.

Our racers (testers) ranged from intermediate to advanced levels. The feedback and concerns they provided, helped us design the HRC06. At Houston RC, we believe in transparency, and we would like to share the following with you:

1) Reliability and durability. This was the top priority for our intermediate racers.

> These servos have titanium gears. (Not plastic or Delrin like some servos). The servo motor is a high-quality coreless motor.

2) Weight, cooling, and shorter wires.

> The servos come in a fast-cooling aluminum case. They are ultra-lightweight at 7g. We even went with shorter wiring for weight savings.

3) "That factory, clean look". That was something brought up by several experienced racers that build their own kits.

> During the design phase with the engineers, we went with an all-black color servo and topped it off with black wire leads (rather than the typical red/black/white wiring) for looks. All of our testers (with various different kits) feedback was that they mounted their RXs within an inch of their servos, yet every servo on the market had excessive wiring! So to get 'That factory, clean look', we went with shorter wires.

4) Plug N Play. Some of our servos came with JR leads for full-size RXs, and some came with JST1.5 leads for micro-size RXs.

> Almost all of our testers used micro-size RXs, so to make it easy we opted for the JST1.5 leads. These servos will plug right into your micro-size RX's channel 1. No adapters are necessary!

5) Compatibility. The majority of 1/28 scale kits come with a plastic 20T spline horn.

> The HRC06 servo accepts 20T spline horns (comes stock on most 1/28 kits). We also offer a metal servo horn for those looking for extra durability. See part # HRC06Horn.

6) Speed/Power and future-proofing.

> Our intermediate-level racers preferred the 6.0v speed and power of the servos, whereas our advanced-level racers preferred the 7.4v speed and power of the servos. The HRC06 goes a step further, and can operate at 4.8v, 6.0v, 7.4v, and even 8.4v! Future-proofing the tech and also accommodating racers of all skill levels, the full specs on what the servo speeds/torque is at a set voltage is presented below.

While our testing was focused on the popular 1/28 scale on-road kits, the engineers have confirmed these servos to fit and operate perfectly with several 1/18, 1/24, and 1/27 kits as well.
